About Us
The International Association for Bridge Maintenance and Safety (IABMAS) was founded in 1999 and has over 1,500 members across all continents of the world.
IABMAS’s field of activity is to encompass all aspects of bridge maintenance, safety, and management. Specifically, it deals with: bridge repair and rehabilitation issues; bridge management systems; needs of bridge owners; financial planning and whole life costing, including investment for the future; bridge related safety and risk issues along with economic and other implications.

The IABMAS – Sri Lanka Group was established on 14/12/2019 during a special event held at the International Conference on Structural Engineering and Construction Management (ICSECM 2019) with the participation of the Founding President of the IABMAS, Prof. Dan Frangopol, as the chief guest.
